What happens in a Medicine Profile Review?

At Intelligent Partners, we go through your child’s curriculum and science grades, the exams they may need, the countries you’re considering, your budget and where they might want to work as a doctor.

You’ll have a clearer idea of which universities are worth considering and what needs to happen next. We meet families at our JLT office in Dubai or online.

We use your contact details to respond to your enquiry. Information needed to provide a requested service is shared only with relevant authorised providers where necessary.

Beyond the tuition figure

Tuition is only the starting point. When we work out the cost for your family, we also consider accommodation, food, health insurance, visas, flights home and possible fee increases during the course. A cheaper university in an expensive city can end up costing more.

We also consider
Entrance exams

Will my child need an entrance exam?

It depends on the university. In Italy, some English-taught programmes use IMAT. Other universities have their own Biology, Chemistry, Physics or English tests, sometimes with an interview.

Tests can include

We explain which exams your child needs, when registration portals open, where to register and when the exams take place. We also help plan applications around university deadlines.

We don’t provide entrance-exam coaching ourselves, but we can introduce families to suitable tutors or tuition centres.

Degree titles

MBBS or MD?

MBBS

MBBS is the medical degree title most Indian families know.

MD · General Medicine · Medicine and Surgery

European universities may award qualifications called MD, General Medicine, Medicine and Surgery, or another national degree.

What matters is the exact qualification, its clinical training and whether it meets the requirements of the country where your child wants to practise.

We help families understand these differences before choosing a university.

Recognition

Will the degree be accepted in the UAE or India?

UAE

A European medical degree doesn’t automatically qualify someone for a licence to practise. Eligibility depends on the relevant licensing authority—DHA, DoH or MOHAP—and the applicable Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).

India

For Indian citizens and OCI students, NEET-UG eligibility and National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations are important when planning undergraduate medicine abroad. The degree, course duration, clinical training, internship and future registration requirements all need checking.

We guide families through the current requirements and what they mean for the student’s plans. Regulations can change, so these checks are made for each student before applying.
